We had a rainbow of fun volunteering with the Golden Valley Pride team on Saturday for their Food & Necessities Drive from PRISM.
PRISM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1970 by folks who were concerned about local hungry and homeless families. What started as a small, informal effort has since evolved into a strong, sustainable organization that is considered a leading provider of basic needs services in the northwest Twin Cities suburbs. Nearly 50 years later its mission remains the same: to provide social services and connections that empower people in our community to build healthy, stable lives.
Our community was so generous in their support, we filled the van by 2pm with over 1000lbs and $500 of donations!
Thank you to everyone for making this event a success. It felt amazing to see and hug friends in person and make new ones, too!
